1. To avoid overheating, drink plenty of water before, during and after exercising.
2. The female hormone relaxin, softens your body in preparation for birth, so be mindful of this.
3. Monitor your heart rate, that’s your pulse and keep it below 140 beats per minute. This will avoid stressing your baby.
4. Tighten your pelvic floor muscles every day. This will be an ongoing task to do, as 1 in 3 women who have ever been pregnant and carried a baby will have urine leakage. To keep your pelvic floor strong, you must work at strengthening the pelvic floor muscles everyday for the rest of your life.
5. If you are not feeling your usual self, don’t push your body. Take it easy for the day, and if symptoms persist, see your doctor.
